Ludogorets owner Kiril Domuschiev has threatened to pull the Bulgarian champions out of their domestic league over perceived refereeing bias in favour of title rivals Levski Sofia.

Rafael Perez was then dismissed for a clash with Bedoya in the area and, after referee Georgi Yordanov awarded a penalty, Litex sporting manager Stoycho Stoilov ordered his team from the field.

The Spaniard has been in charge at the DW Stadium since 2009, but after three seasons of battling to stay in the Premier League they finally lost their top-flight status this season sparking speculation about his future at the club.

A day after their FA Cup victory parade Whelan and Martinez met to discuss the future and the 39-year-old asked for time to think about his options.
The two met again on Thursday, and the 76-year-old reve…

Costa Rica v Paraguay: Balbuena targeting title challenge

Paraguay want prove they are at the Copa America Centenario to win when they begin their Group A campaign against Costa Rica in Orlando on Saturday, says Fabian Balbuena.

La Albirroja finished as runners-up to Uruguay in the 2011 edition despite failing to win a single match over 90 minutes, while a 6-1 semi-final thumping at the hands of Argentina sent them packing in Chile last year.

Prior to those events, Paraguay had failed to finish in the top four since 1989.

However, defender Balbuena expects Ramon Diaz s team to go deep into the tournament once again and wants to get off to a positive start against Costa Rica.

At international level all prepare in the best way. I think the teams renowned for producing good performances are the candidates, said B…
